Activists can further expose and draw attention to the Bush administration’s illegal spying by filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request and holding a press conference to announce this. The post explains the mechanics of filing a FOIA, on holding press conference and why you should do this. We encourage activists that have filed FOIA requests to list their name, organization and location as a comment.

Last year, several of the activists subpoenaed before the federal grand jury in Des Moines and two others (including me) and a few organizations put in FOIA requests through the ICLU. We have gotten some things back
which showed reports of CD's being sent under the label "Acts of Terrorism IT Matters" and things going to the JTTF even though the US attorney claimed that there was no JTTF involvement in a press erlease.
